Careers

At Hill Country Day School, we are building something different. Our classrooms are rooted in the Reggio Emilia philosophy and Conscious Discipline, and we are looking for educators who are excited about that work, not just familiar with it.

We believe the adults in a school shape its culture as much as any curriculum does. That means we prioritize teachers who are curious, reflective, and genuinely passionate about early childhood. We offer a supportive leadership team, a beautiful 5.5-acre nature-rich campus, and a founder who spent 20 years in childcare and knows what it actually takes to do this job well.

If you are looking for a school where your philosophy fits, your voice matters, and your growth is supported, we would love to hear from you.

Classroom Guides

At Hill Country Day School, we call our teachers Classroom Guides because that title reflects what we actually believe about their role. They are observers, relationship builders, and co-investigators who follow children's lead and create environments where curiosity thrives. Our Guides are trained in the Reggio Emilia philosophy and Conscious Discipline, and bring both into practice every day. If that is the kind of educator you are, we would love to hear from you.

Operational Support

Our operational team keeps Hill Country Day School running smoothly so that our Classroom Guides can stay focused on children. Roles in this area include front office support, enrollment coordination, and administrative functions. We are looking for organized, warm, and mission-aligned people who understand that every interaction with a family matters, whether it happens in the classroom or at the front desk.

Behavioral Support

Hill Country Day School partners with onsite therapy providers to offer behavioral and developmental support services to our school community. If you are a licensed therapist, occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist, or behavioral specialist interested in working within a nature-based, Reggio-inspired school environment, we would love to connect. Our model is built on collaboration between educators and specialists, with the whole child always at the center.
